Need to change a file?
Save a new version.
Files already in the vault can never be modified, overwritten, or renamed. To update something, just drop the new version in next to it — for example report-v2.pdf alongside report.pdf. The original stays untouched.
Because nothing in the vault can overwrite history, ransomware that encrypts the files on your laptop cannot reach in and destroy the originals — every prior version is still there, exactly as you saved it.

Install
Download the signed installer for your OS and the matching FUSE driver (WinFsp, macFUSE, fuse3).
Authorize
Choose one of our approved WeRecoverData vault regions, sign in, and pick a drive letter or mount path.
Seal
Click Mount. Files you drop in are cryptographically sealed — written once and kept forever.
